Today I adopted a little roborovskii hamster called Benji. Our petstore has a little adoption center and he was there all on his lonesome and I felt awful about the whole thing. He's six months old and apparently the people who bought him before just couldn't handle having a pet...or some bullshit excuse. I already had a spare cage and everything from when Sootypaws was tiny and well...I donno if I could hack Sooty dying and me not having another pet - not than I'm saying he's gonna die soon or anything, but well he's almost two, and they don't tend to live much longer than that. day one: didnt get to f'n MTV. eh things dont always go to plan. and traffic blows. but whatever. tried to get bearings instead..

day two: sleep-ins and trips to buzznet. knocking on doors and waiting and then having the aussies laugh at me. damn my culture. luncheon with the mark and the richard. vegannnnnn. FACEPARTY PLS? the almost at the roxy. id-ed 'fined' then force fed alcohol in the vip section. absurd.

day three: POMONA WARPED. sunburn, actual puking (i wish i was kidding). tai, fftl, cobra, norma jean, say anything acoustic style, uhm other stuff? SRS LACK OF BREE WTF?!? lots of lemonde. MENDOZA HANGS. a few signings - sneaky style @ AT&T. Cobra cuddles, TAI @ AP tent. Matt hangs and giggles over crazy sunnies - I think it weirded him out because apparently im not meant to be here hahaha.

Note to self: NEVER shoot at the ABC2 in Glasgow ever again. Pretty late notice a lovey PR agent hooked me up ith a photopass to the show. Spirits were high. Upon arrival at the venue I discovered that there was no photo-pitt. The barrier adjoined the stage. This was not awesome, and in the end I had to cheekily ask a girl in the crowd if she could budge over a little so I could sling one arm over the barrier and try to shoot from the left side of the stage. This would have still been reasonable successful if the ABC2s tech had maybe...TURNED ON SOME LIGHTS?!?!?! Shutter speeds were the slowest I've ever had at a show - and that was with apertures of 1.8 and 2.8 and I still couldn't get anything. (If you don't know what I'm talking about basically it means I should have been about to get quite reasonable shots...but thats hard to do in the DARK). On top of that there's six members in this band...on a stage that wasn't much bigger than a double bed (I wish I was kidding). Overlap of instruments and hair and arms were everywhere. Not fun at all. In conclusion I have about four photos that are actually worthy of being viewed. This one is probably the best, and thats only because someone in the crowd with a compact camera obviously fired their flash at the same time that I took a photo.
